Chester’s sac fly leads Charlotte to 5-3 win over Lakeland

LAKELAND, Fla. (AP) — Carl Chester drove in Vidal Brujan with a sacrifice fly in the seventh inning, leading the Charlotte Stone Crabs to a 5-3 win over the Lakeland Flying Tigers on Saturday.

Brujan scored on the play to give the Stone Crabs a 4-3 lead after he reached base on an error, stole second and then went to third on an error.

The Stone Crabs tacked on another run in the eighth when Jim Haley scored on an error.

Benton Moss (1-0) got the win in relief while Wladimir Pinto (1-1) took the loss in the Florida State League game.

For the Flying Tigers, Brady Policelli homered and singled three times, scoring two runs.
